Blue Hours

Taken mostly during the blue hour, when the golden light has faded into something softer and stranger, these images attempt to capture the character of places long since faded from the public lexicon. Absent of the direct impact of people, these liminal spaces develop their own unique personalities.

The boom of new construction in and around Greenville, S.C., means that these pockets of abandonment have limited time left. Already, the subjects of some of these photos now only exist in photographs. I strive to document what I can, while I can.
